Ozonesonde

NARL launches Electro -chemical Concentration Cell (ECC) ozonesonde (RS-06E, Meisei make) every fortnight since 2011 around local noon. These ozonesondes are integrated to the Meisei GPS radiosonde which performs in-situ measurements of pressure, temperature, relative humidity and ozone concentration from surface to the balloon burst altitude (typically round 30-35 km) . The accuracy of ozone concentration from these sondes is 5%. The RD-06G ground station is designed for the Upper Air Observing System using the D- GPS (Differential Global Positioning System).
